Guinea Pigs

What sort of animal is cheap, fairly easy to care for, is relatively cuddly, and is adorable? Well, I guess the title of this post kind of gave it away.

Guinea pigs are lovable pets, and are one of the tamest smaller animals you could get. Though they do tend to be a little bit skittish at first, they soon will become very friendly.

Unlike most animals, there are very few things about guinea pigs that would make you not want one. They aren't messy like birds, and they can't get lost inside (at least it would be hard) like hamsters can. You don't need to train them (except for taming) or worry about them not using a litter box (they can be litter trained though).

There are many different varieties of guinea pigs. Some have very short fur, and others have kind of spiky fur. Others look sort of like wigs, when viewed from above. My cousin had a sweet one just like that.

If you want an easy to care for and cheap pet that will love you, try a guinea pig.

Ps, here's a link to my cousin's blog where she wrote about Caramilk The Real Thing: Caramilk Life and Death
