Dog Agility

Agility is a sport that people participate in with their dogs. It is basically an obstacle course. The dogs have to maneuver obstacles like ramps, jumps, and tunnels. The handler has to lead the dogs to the right obstacles and get the dog to do them.

Many people enter their dogs in big agility tournaments, while others just do it for fun at home.

Agility equipment can be expensive,so many people build their own or share the equipment with other dog owners. You can also do some practicing on a park play ground.

It is important to note that agility can be harmful for puppies. If your dog is a puppy (under one year for large breeds, under two years for small breeds) you'll have to wait a while before trying agility.

Any adult dog willing to do agility can, but naturally athletic breeds like Sporting and Herding dogs tend to do best.
