Macon Exotic Auction

Some people we know told us about this action, held at Lolli Brothers Livestock Market in Macon, MO. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun.

The soonest exotic animal auction is from April 10th to 13th. The first day, which is the one that we would go to is called "Nursery Sale" It said on the website  "These lots (usually) consist of: Reptiles, small caged animals , as well as all small exotic tame cats (Bengals, Servals, Caracals, etc.) and Pet Shop variety birds. Also selling Cranes, Swans. Kangaroo, Wallaby, Muntjac and Ratite (to name a few)."

Friday has the most "Large" critters, like various deers (including reindeer), camels, and zebras.

I have not gone to any of the auctions and I don't know if we'll attend this one in April, but I would like to. Although most of the critters are illegal in my city, too expensive, too hard to care for, or all three, except for some of the "reptiles, birds, and small caged animals"

If I went, I might come home with a critter! Maybe a "Lesser Blue-eared Glossy Starling" or a pygmy mongoose, or a wallaby joey. No, I think not. But it would be fun to look!

The Lolli Brothers website has more info. I think that this could be an interesting event, for those wanting an exotic pet or just wanting to look.

If I do go, I will try to take pictures and blog about it.
