The Rough Collie is one of the most well known dog breeds, owing to the popularity of the "Lassie" books and films. A large, powerful breed, the Rough Collie is a very good guard dog, yet they are extremely friendly.
The most striking thing about the Rough Collie is its beauty. There are several different colors of Rough Collie: the Blue Merle, the Tri-color, and the Sable (the "Lassie" coloring) are the most common.
