Corn Snakes

Corn snakes are one of the best pet snakes. At only 3 - 6 feet long, these calm snakes are a very manageable size.

They also come in more variates that any other snake, all of which are beautiful, including their natural pattering.

A young corn snake can be kept in a 10 gallon terrarium, but adults (unless they are very small) should be kept in at least 20 gallon tank.

 It usually costs about 50 dollars for a "normal" corn snake. Different morphs (varieties) may cost more, the rarer, the more expensive. Craigslist sometimes has snakes for cheap! You may also be able to catch your own wild corn snake.

Corn snakes rarely bite, and a bite from them is not dangerous. They can be tamed very quickly, and they often seem to enjoy being handled.

Corn snakes need a heat lamp. They also need lots of hiding places in their tank.
