Mini Animals

                                                 Miniature Horses
Many people want a horse, but large horses are very expensive and difficult to keep. How about a horse that's

only a few feet tall? Miniature horses (Mini) eat about one-tenth of what a large horse eats. They also do not need to wear shoes and they are often healthier than large horses. Mini's can't be ridden by anyone over 60 pounds, but one Mini can pull two adult humans in a cart.

                                                          Bantam Chickens
In terms of cost and space needed, 2 or 3 Bantams are equal to one large chicken. Bantams are either "True Bantams" (which are chickens that are always Bantams) or smaller versions of larger chickens. They make good pets (see Pet Chickens? in an earlier blog post.)

                                                          Pygmy Goats
These tiny goats are bred to be pets. They can be trained and become tame. Even though they are not dairy goats they can still be miked. A doe (a female goat) can produce up to half a gallon in one day.

                                                            Potbellied Pig
Even a Potbellied Pig can be difficult to handle. They must be trained well as piglets. Potbellied Pigs are very cute when they are piglets. They can live outdoors or indoors.  They can be aggressive. They can be fun, smart, and interesting pets for the right kind of owner.
